Ron Velez is a semi-retired Director of Technology/CIO and Educator for 30+ years.   After a distinguished 30 years in education and technology for K-12 public school districts in New York (the last 15 years at White Plains City School District), Ron relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL with his wife and starting the consulting phase of his new life and created iCertify Services LLC.

A little more about Ron Velez, CEO of iCertify Services.

Ron has a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Stony Brook and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Pace University and an additional Master's Degree from College of New Rochelle in Educational Administration/School Business Administration.

As a Director of Technology/CIO, Ron Velez oversaw the technology infrastructure of WAN, LAN (AD/Azure), Aruba WiFi, Cisco VOIP, desktops, mobile devices, BenQ TVs, security cameras, on-prem and cloud software, helpdesk and data reporting for the White Plains City School District for 15 years.  He directed a tech and data team of 10, oversaw a $4.5 million annual budget, was responsible for purchasing of equipment, asset management, project management, cyber security, vendor contracts, audits, conducted professional development, manages technical documentation and policies, served as the data privacy officer and was a member of the emergency response team.

Ron also had direct oversight of the following systems:  Infinite Campus, Performance Matters Assessment and Analytics, NWEA, Schoology Learning Management System, Clever, Timepiece (timeclocks/attendance), Frontline (AESOP/MLP), Office 365, Fusion (VOIP/Singlewire), K12alerts (messaging), Finalsite (website content), JAMF (iPad Management).
